Reginella and Planet Pacificus
This lovable little queen is the ruler of a race of pacific aliens hailing from the wandering planet Pacificus. Reginella is a dutiful, clever and kind-hearted ruler. Her commitment to her kingdom is her top priority, acting as and being considered its key piece, and she chooses to sacrifice her personal happiness multiple times for the sake of her people.
At some point in the past, a spaceship from Pacificus crashed on Earth, and its passengers became stranded. Due to the planet's flow of time causing them to age extremely fast, they constructed a protective eletromagnetic dome and started a colony under Silent Bay, located near Duckburg. They've been keeping their existence a secret ever since, waiting for the moment they can fix their spaceship and return home.
Reginella and her people are able to use "disapproval energy", a sort of telekinetic power which is their only way of defending themselves. Before the out-of-time chronograph (an apparatus designed to protect them from the different flow of time) was invented, they were also shown to be capable of donating part of their life span to their queen so she can survive being on Earth's surface.

Donald and Reginella's star-crossed romance is a huge factor in the Reginella Saga. After their first meeting, the two quickly fall head over heels in love for each other, with Donald repeatedly saving her and her planet. However, when it seems a happy ending is within reach, the two are separated in one way or another.
The strong affection the two have for each other is referred to as "somatocosmic bond". Reginella's mood is able to affect the weather as well as her people's moods, to the point of causing a severe storm to fall upon both Duckburg and Pacificus due to subconciously missing Donald. In order to solve this, the two had their memories of each other completely erased. Eventually, their paths cross one last time so they can properly solve this.

According to Topolino Magazine's Facebook page, Reginella's birthday is on August 20th, the anniversary of the initial publishing of her story of origin.
According to Giorgio Cavazzano, a inspiration for Reginella's design was the chick Calimero.
As shown in Reginella e i Cristalli di Pacificus (Reginella and the Crystals of Pacificus) (2018), the queen has a pet Squoz, a penguin-like creature who feeds solely on the apples of Pacificus.
Reginella has made a cameo in the Paperina di Rivondosa (Daisy of Rivondosa) (2005) saga, a parody of the Italian TV series Elisa di Rivombrosa, as duchess Reginella Bussani. This cameo is notable as being the only time Daisy and Reginella interacted with each other in a comic.
Reginella has also appeared in Cronache degli Antichi Regni (Chronicles of Ancient Kingdoms) (2022), a saga taking place in a fantasy setting, where she has the name of Reginella Acquamarina (lit. Little Queen Aquamarine). Here, she is established as an old friend of Paperhin's (lit. Donaldhin), and seems to have one-sided feelings for him.
There were storyboards by Rodolfo Cimino illustrating his intended conclusion for the Reginella saga. From what is understood, Donald was to travel to Pacificus in secret to see Reginella receiving presents from a suitor, and would leave broken-hearted. The queen would realize what happened and move her planet away from Earth.
